Overview
Note: The placement of these items is solely and completely dependent on the skin in use. All descriptions which are skin specifics are based on the Default Skin.
When you start up Unsanityª Echo for the first time, you will see the Unsanityª Echo player and main window in the top left area of the screen.
Below are short descriptions of the window pictured above and it's uses:
Title Area: Shows the current track's artist, title, album, channels (Mono, Stereo, Joint-Stereo), sample rate, bit-rate, and format respectively.
Previous: Skips to the beginning of the current song. If you click it again within a second, skips previous song in the playlist, if available. If you hold it down, it rewinds inside a song, similar to CD players. You can skip to the previous song when Shuffle mode is on. Only appears if a song is currently playing.
Next: Skips to the next song in the playlist, if available. If you hold it down, it forwards inside a song, similar to CD players. Only appears if a song is currently playing.
Play: Starts playing the first song in the playlist. Holding down the play button will show a menu of the last five tracks to be played. Only appears if no song is currently playing.
Stop: Stops the currently playing song. Only appears if a song is currently playing.
Pause: Pauses the currently playing song. When pressed again it resumes from the position in the song where it left off. Only appears if a song is currently playing.
Recent Tracks: Clicking on this button shows the most recently played tracks in Unsanityª Echo. The default number of tracks is ten but this may be changed in the preferences.
Timer: Shows the time elapsed in the current song, clicking on it shows the time remaining. If there is currently no song playing, it will display the current time in a 24-hour format.
Position Slider: Shows where Unsanityª Echo is in the currently playing track. Clicking and Dragging the slider from left to right will change the position. Only appears if a song is currently playing.
Volume Slider: The current level of sound output. Moving the slider up and to the left increases the sowund level. Conversely moving the slider down and to the right decreases sound output.
Options Button: Displays an Options window that gives the user options that are not available elsewhere.
Equalizer Button: Opens the EQ window.
